Nestled in the heart of North Miami, Griot 305 is not just a restaurant; it’s a vibrant celebration of Haitian culture and cuisine. This establishment invites you to embark on a culinary adventure, immersing you in flavors that resonate with tradition and authenticity.

The menu at Griot 305 profiles a delightful array of traditional Haitian dishes, with a particular focus on the sumptuous offering of Fried Turkey, Fried Pork, and the iconic Griot — all served alongside fluffy rice and beans, sweet fried plantain, and a refreshing salad. For those craving a taste of seafood, the Ecrevisse Shrimp— succulent shrimp served with the same comforting sides—provides a mouthwatering option that you won't want to miss.

At Griot 305, you can expect a laid-back dining atmosphere that feels both inviting and familial. Patrons often speak of the warm welcome they receive upon entering, as if they are being embraced by a long-lost relative. The owners take pride in their craft, serving up meals that not only satiate hunger but also evoke cherished memories of rich Haitian culinary traditions. Customer feedback highlights the fresh preparation of food, with one satisfied diner noting that they always leave with a full belly and happy heart.

While reviews vary, they often capture the essence of Griot 305's food experience. Nicole Hall expresses her loyalty, always craving their Griot with extra gravy, stating that the food is consistently fresh and ready in a jiffy. On the other hand, some have pointed out moments where the fried offerings could benefit from a more careful execution, yet even amidst constructive criticism, the potential for excellence is evident.

Indulging in a hearty meal at Griot 305 doesn’t stop at just the food. The selection of beverages—including Haitian sodas with refreshing watermelon and pineapple flavors—offers a perfect complement to your meal. With an affordable price point on both food and drinks, this charming eatery delivers exceptional value without compromising on taste.

I felt welcomed by the ownership, and everyone was polite enough. I ordered fried turkey, and to be honest, I'm not sure if what I received was fried turkey or not. It didn't taste bad, but I can't say that it tasted like turkey. The bones were bigger than what I believe turkey bones should be too. I think they gave me fried goat, if I had to guess. That's the main reason for the missing star. Otherwise, all was fine.

This place never disappoints. Food is always made fresh. When ever o visit the north Miami area I have to order a griot complete with extra gravy.. called and picked up ready in 10 to 15 minutes.

This place is great. I got the rice and goat. It was a big portion, enough for two meals. The taste was amazing very well cooked. They have a good variety of items and im sure ill be back for more

Other than their fear of maskless customers, my pick up order of griot, rice and beans, tostones, and salad was very good. The added scotch bonnet sauce was a real treat. Good food and value.

The food portions were excellent and the rice was amazing, maybe the best I’ve had for takeout in Miami. I ordered the griot which I would have given 2 stars for the fact it was not fresh and crispy. It tasted as if that it been previously cooked or fried and reheated because it was extremely dry and not crispy. I would like to have given five stars because I could tell this restaurant serves really amazing food. But Grill is one of my favorites and it’s got to be freshly made where the hot oil is burning a hole through the Styrofoam it’s so freaking hot and fresh out the fryer. I would like to go back and try a different menu item that may be more freshly prepared.

Staff is very welcoming and polite, the premises are clean. Food taste great I had a “Griot” dish and it was delicious. I definitely recommend anyone to stop by if you’re in the mood of Caribbean Cuisine in North Miami Beach. Will definitely go back.

Pros & Cons

12 Jul 2025

Haitian food is a cuisine that not everyone in other states have ever tried because it's mostly predominately in Florida. This is probably my second time experiencing it at Griot 305 and I can attest that with all the competitors that are in the field in Miami Griot 305 stands out beyond leaps and bounds, & heres why: They have a credit card machine which most Haitian restaurants dont have; the interior is kept cozy and the natural light that enters the room is pleasant; the cleanliness of the staff and attention to detail is superb; there is a wheelchair access ramp and parking; cold a.c.; drinks, beer, & wine coolers; and their prices are VERY reasonable; the food is delicious & the chef that they have in the kitchen is a professional. Overall, my experience has been positive, & in both my visits the food has never had a mawkish flavor. Its a privilege to be the first to review (I'm always hesitant to review only until a second, or third visit). My greetings to the owners for making me feel welcomed for a second time. Keep up the great work & congratulations on having your own restaurant. I will be coming back more often. Highly recommended.
